2016 SC Magazine 2016 Trust Award

Netsurion today announced that its remotely-managed data and network security services have been recognized as a Trust Award finalist in the Best Managed Security Service category for the 2016 SC Awards. The finalists and winners for the newly revamped Trust Awards (formerly Reader Trust Awards) are chosen by a distinguished group of leading IT security professionals from the SC Magazine readership and selected by the SC editorial team.

“Nobody understands the cybersecurity battle better than the IT professionals who work day in and day out to clean up and protect businesses from malicious attacks,” said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Magazine. “Netsurion is one of a select few to receive this tremendous recognition as a Trust Award finalist, and they should be proud of the work this represents.”

Netsurion provides industry-leading data security and computer network management services for multi-location businesses. Its centrally-managed, highly scalable service deploys easily and integrates enterprise-class equipment with best-in-class security architecture, providing an unparalleled level of security and manageability for its clients’ wired and wireless networks and POS systems.

“Cybercrime has grown to epidemic proportions, and the effects on multi-location brands, franchisees and other SMBs can be devastating and unrecoverable. We believe these businesses, which often lack IT resources, should be able to access and benefit from enterprise-class network security,” said Netsurion CEO Kevin Watson. “Our goal is to ensure our customers’ brands are protected by providing them robust and powerful network management, security and compliance services at a fraction of the costs associated with a self-managed solution. We’re honored that our efforts have led to this prominent industry recognition.”

The SC Awards, now in its 19th year, are recognized throughout the security industry as the gold standard of excellence in cybersecurity. With the awards, SC Magazine recognizes the achievements of security professionals in the field, the innovations happening in the vendor and service provider communities and the vigilant work of government, commercial and nonprofit entities. Vendors and service providers which offer a product and/or service for the commercial, government, educational, nonprofit or other industries are eligible for the SC Awards’ Trust Award category.

“From Duqu 2.0 to mobile cyberthreats to the nearly $1 billion stolen from financial institutions by the Carbanak cybercriminal group, 2015 saw near-exponential growth in the number and complexity of cyberattacks,” said Armstrong. “As the bad guys shift and pivot strategies, so too do the men, women and companies working to stop them in their tracks. These finalists have shown that they are the best at what they do.”

Winners of the 2016 SC Awards will be announced at a gala dinner and cocktail party on March 1, 2016 in San Francisco. This event attracts top professionals in the IT security community and provides an invaluable opportunity for networking. To register for the 2016 SC Awards Gala please click here.
